Here’s some reviews on Google Play
Below are some of the honest reviews and feedback on Google Play by users;
John: Amazing silence player. This is a great program for preventing playback of audio files. The crystal clear quality of the silence is unrivaled. Must be unheard to be believed. The best part is it works in the very background. It doesn’t even open! So efficient. It incorporates seamlessly with some other apps, becoming the default sound-canceler for their audio files. No more ear damage; just open your files with this app and listen to your surroundings at a natural and safe volume. Download Google Play Music and take music with you wherever you go.
Garry: Keeps Getting Better As a former Spotify premium user, GPM has turned it up yet again vs the competition. The new UI on the home screen is visually appealing and it recommends stations from artists I’ve been enjoying recently. There are a few things I believe would make GPM that much better. Night mode with dark background colors for easier viewing at night would be a welcomed addition for many. The last thing I’d appreciate is bringing back the dark GPM widget. The current bright white widget destroys the eyes at night. It is highly recommended that you should download Google Play Music if you want quality music.
Saffire: Really good audio, fast streaming, easy menus compared to YouTube music. If the rumored “YouTube Remix” is anything like YouTube music, it will surely fail because of the simplicity of Google play music. The interface of Google play music is easy to understand, and fluid to navigate unlike YouTube music. I surely hope that this app stays or the new app will have the same simplicity and automatically roll over playlists and songs, other wise it might mean switching.
Scott Seward: Works great! Tons of music. I really like the app. I pay for the monthly subscription and it has more than paid for itself. I listen to a lot of 90’s punk and it has nearly everything I’ve looked for. My only negative is the underground house and techno selection. Not enough of it. Plenty of new school “electronic” music (EDM) if your into that. I usually go to the songs section and hit shuffle. Google: The best feature a music app could have would be to notify the user every time an artist in their selection releases a new album.
Vini DelNegro: Best music app period. With YouTube Red included with the subscription no other music app comes close to the value Google Play Music offers. The family library is extra awesome added to the mix. A sleep timer is useful to fall asleep to your music. What this needs now is an alarm. Being able to wake up to a podcast, song, playlist or station would make this no less than perfect.
James Harvey: Fantastic experience High quality and friendly UI somewhat tempered by the slightly less than comprehensive music selection. UX could be improved by having the My Library feature more easily accessible from the front screen. Impressed by the full screen album art when phone is locked and music playing (on Nexus 6P). Background storage over WiFi appears to work well when using “Downloaded Only” option between WiFi spots. Prior “track is not accessible” bugs seem to have been ironed out and the app feels more responsive.
Montiece J: Slightly easier experience now. I love this update for one thing and one thing only. It eliminates the moments where I’m swiping through the same screens and artist looking for something to listen to. With so many choices to pick from, finding the actual music to listen to becomes hard to do. So that one change in designing the home screen is perfect. They call it “your personal DJ” for a reason and it’s definitely that. Welcome to the big leagues of streaming music, Google. Let’s keep building on this.
Gavin Scott: Good one. I like this over Apple Music. I’ve uploaded all of my previous mp3 to the cloud via Music Manager app in my PC. And I can hear any song I want to with just a search. International tracks are not available in the charts but I need to search .
Nick Laing: Much needed update Earlier this week I considered moving to spotify being that it’s more popular and had a student discount. I heard about the update and decided to wait and see before I decide. Needless to say I’m very glad I waited. The design is refreshing and new playlist selection has already proven itself useful. Play music is an underrated quality streaming app.
David Alexander: Google Play Music app is really nice and fairly easy to use. It is a bit too easy to accidentally delete something from a queue or two add an entire playlist instead of an individual song to your queue. And I miss when Google Play allowed you to that see more things by individual songs rather than having everything be a radio station. But overall it’s still one of the better and affordable ways to get music and have them accessible on multiple platforms.
