eMusic App Reviews
Have a look at some of the honest reviews and comments on eMusic App from verified users.
John: Not bad for some of the cheapest downloadable, non-drm music on the net. Also a good app for some of the best “garage music.”
John: A big improvement over the previous version which I just had to uninstall. This is nice and smooth with good navigation and search functions. Only problem I’ve had so far is an ‘unexpected playback error’ a few times.
Mark: Perfect. Finally an music app that allows downloading and streaming. Great work folks.
Steve: The third iteration of the app and it’s hugely improved. Have used for a couple of days now and no crashes. The UI is responsive, fast and looks crisp. Same goes for the web site. The cloud storage and streaming functionality is much improved too. I’ve been subscribed to eMusic for 10 years and IMO the new app just proves that it is still the best place to discover, buy and now stream great, reasonably priced independent music.
Efrons: Finally eMusic app is renewed, cloud based, now it’s worth it for all past members to come back. Looks beautiful, fast, intuitive and it works!
Cooper: I don’t know why this has bad reviews, it is amazing!! It stores all of my music and is great quality. No problems whatsoever.
Cheryl: Good music choices & easy to navigate, but expensive to buy.
David: Edit: My initial post read, “Blackberry PRIV running latest Android. Installs, won’t open.” After eMusic reached out to me, I tried again. To my surprise, it all worked–downloaded, opened, and I was able to sign in. I don’t tend to download music from eMusic directly to my phone–I prefer to store on a larger hard drive and transfer–so I did not try buying music. But, I could access what I have purchased and stream it pretty well. Not as fancy a music player as my Poweramp, but serviceable. Overall, not bad. I wish the back button would take me back to where I left off, rather than the top of the list of artists or albums, but otherwise, it seems to be working fine. Sorry about the earlier rating. I’ve updated to 4/5 stars. (fix the back button for 5/5).
Sedulous: As a ten year site user, app is good. First off, know that this is not where to find Top 40 and major label. Independent and re-release and archive labels only. I read many slagging reviews and found them all misled, missed the point, or just plain problems that were fixed. Only one criticism- back navigation, say from an artist album back to the artists admin page, seems absent.
Bryan: Well, it took nearly forever, but I got past the login issue and got the eMusic app/player working. I find the player satisfactory. It’s nice having all my many eMusic downloads available on a mobile device. But, like many others, I’m addicted to scrabbling, and this player apparently doesn’t Scrabble. When it comes down to a choice between music apps, I’ll take the one with scrobbling capability nearly every time. Make it Scrabble and I’ll use it often.
Robert: More options It would be nice to be able to sort albums etc with newest first. I know there’s recent in the playlist but more than just the top 4 WD be helpful and the sorting with capital letters first makes it hard to find things!
Rheon: Works a treat! Been a subscriber with eMusic for many years and have always been a satisfied customer. The app works great. You can download tracks to your device, even ones bought long ago. You can play these mp3 files on other apps and devices too! Most useful!
J Noel: Great! All the music I have ever purchased from emusic is finally stored in the cloud. This is fabulous! Correction…only music purchased and still in their catalog.
Roni: Where’s My Album HELP! I installed this app to download an album to my phone & when I tried to download it just downloaded one song that’s it. Payed full price for just one song. Please I would like the whole album I payed for. All 5 stars when this problem is fixed. Thanks!
Roxanne: Log in issues First it says I already have an account. When I ask to retrieve password it says no account exists for that address. When i tried to open an account with a different email address it gave me an error message like – no parameters found for that id?? Not worth the trouble. I used to have emusic app on my PC and liked it a lot. The app should not be this difficult.
Erin: Ugh Emusic app is making it hard to remain a customer with this app. On my desktop the website is awesome This app is terrible on my Galaxy S4. So many issues with getting albums to download and I am stuck have to repurchase the songs that don’t download. Then you can’t clear out the list of songs that failed and every time you make a purchase the app asks if you want to retry failed downloads and the whole program freezes, shuts down, and I am left with less credits and more failed downloads. I’m done.
